WWE.com Site Modification

As part of my strategy to modularize WWE.com, leverage feeds, promote social networks, user sharing and promote widgets for building pages, it was absolutely necessary to re-architect the layout for the website's main templates. For years, the site depended on a double-navigation, three-column based layout. Due to various obstacles like CMS limitations, advertisement contracts, work-flow issues, lack of manpower and years of ad hoc implementations of the secondary nav, the request for a site re-work was never made possible. WWEShop.com DESPERATELY needed not only a redesign but its entire IA to be realigned. For this project, I was given a short time-frame of 2 weeks (they decided last-minute to redesign the website in time for the back-to-school month of September) to totally rethink, strategize and re-build the site's information architecture. Pressed with time, as well as juggling other projects, I was able to reduce, refine and finally restructure the website - ultimately delivering a 30 page wireframe and style guide document for development.

SummerSlam 2009 Microsite (ss09.wwe.com)

After the previous year's SummerSlam Microsite set the bar at WWE by receiving several awards, nominees and honorable mentions, the pressure was on to create and design the best microsite on WWE.com yet. This time, without the design hand of Alan Chappell, the challenge fell on the lap of Chris Connelly and I. In collaboration with Chris, a highly reputed designer at WWE with expertise in both motion graphics and 3D, we took the general key art handed down to us from the Creative department and transformed it into a high-flying, motion-intensive interactive experience - eventually winning a CableFAX 2010 award for Best Website Design.
